David earned his B.A. in economics in 1974 from George Washington University; J.D. in 1977 from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was a senior editor of the Washington University Law Review; and M.S. in psychology in 2021 from Purdue University Global. He practiced law in Massachusetts from 1977 to 2008, then moved to Connecticut, where he now practices. In addition, he taught legal ethics at Western New England University (WNEU) School of Law from 1979 to 1982; business law at WNEU School of Business from 2001 to 2005; and business ethics, business law, and human resource management at the University of New Haven from 2005 to 2014. David is an active member of the Connecticut Bar and United States Supreme Court Bar, and a retired member of the Massachusetts Bar. David's wife, Esther, earned B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Southern Connecticut State University and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. She retired from Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was a human resources and workers compensation administrator.
